John Weaver Contractors supports CITB event for International Women’s Day

John Weaver Contractors were delighted to support the CITB event on 8th March to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019.  The event was used to promote the construction sector across Wales.

Ruby Bhogal, Project Manager and finalist of Great British Bake off 2018 was speaking at the event, and there was also video interviews played to the students from Fabienne Viala, the Chair of Bouygues and Carole Ditty, Legal Director of Bouygues, both of whom wanted to take the opportunity to explain about their career and the opportunities young women have in the construction industry today and in the future.

Joan Tamlyn, Business Development Manager and Jennifer Parker, Project Manager from John Weaver Contractors attended the day and met over 200 pupils getting them involved in an interactive activity designed engage and spark their interest for a construction career.

It was a fantastic day, and we look forward to taking part in future events.
