Apprentice Awards at John Weaver Contractors

Our annual apprentice awards have taken place.  It was fantastic to hold these awards at a live project, the regeneration of Hafod Copperworks for Swansea Council.

These awards are very important for us as a business to not only show our appreciation and support to our hard working apprentices, but also to honour our late Managing Director, Ian Hawkins who set aside a fund to recognise young people and apprentices joining the construction industry.

This year, our worthy winner is apprentice Carpenter Liam North, who was given £300 worth of tool vouchers and will have his name engraved on the Ian Hawkins Trust Award Shield.  Runners up were apprentice Carpenters Kim Smytham and Theo Waters and apprentice Bricklayer Jac Simons, who each receive £150 worth of tool vouchers.
