Atlantic College project is shortlisted for LABC South Wales Building Excellence Award

We are delighted to have made the shortlist for the LABC South Wales Building Excellence Awards 2018 for the new Sports Hall at Atlantic College.  Winning Best Education Building at the Vale of Glamorgan Awards means we are now through for the South Wales region.

The multi-million Moondance Sports Hall provides a new space for the students of the College to work together to improve their health, fitness and wellbeing.

The sport hall’s construction has been part funded thanks to support from the Moondance Foundation, a charity supporting children, education, issues of poverty, medical research, the arts and humanitarian projects. Incorporating a sports hall, dance studio, changing facilities and café, the new building provides enhanced facilities for the College’s curriculum and the UWC’s mission to make education a force for peace and a sustainable future.

The John Weaver team will attend the awards with the architects Lawray and Project Managers Faithful and Gould.
