Description
Phase 1 included improvement works to the inner ward of the castle. The project included refurbishment of the medieval Great Hall, installation of visitor access paths and ramps, comprehensive new interpretation, and the construction of a wildflower garden.
This site has scored 45/45 with Considerate Constructors and is a National Bronze Award Winner and is shortlisted for a RICS Heritage Award.
